Read this first

Welcome to Option Omega! We’ve got a deeply complex backtester to share with you– and a lot of resources to help you dial in what makes sense for you.

If you’re new to the backtester, the first two steps we recommend are this:

Firstly, take the Backtesting Bootcamp class on Option Omega Academy. This will get you up to speed! (Note– the class is free– it does required a login/pw to Academy, which is separate from the login/pw to the OO backtester.

The second thing we’d recommend is joining the OO Discord community. The Discord is the beating heart of OO, where you’ll find tons of folks helping each other, talking about backtesting, the markets, etc. etc. It’s free to join. OO subscribers have access to verified channels through a one minute self-verification process. Here’s everything you need to know in this video.

(Bonus– if you’re too strapped for time to do Bootcamp– Watch the OO101 video. This video goes through the major features of the backtester in a time-efficient manner. We have a library of 100 videos, but this is the best one to start with for a new person.)

If you’ve done those two things, you’ll be well on your way!
